Scrap It Girl's Saturday Scrap Challenge #1

Challenge Winner Receives:   Spellbinders Canvas Bag, Spellbinders T-Shirt, CTMH Ornament Stamp Set, 2 Jenni Bowlin Bingo Cards, Bag of Buttons, Set of Decorative Brads, 4 yards of May Arts Ribbon, Assortment of Twine, Chipboard Frames, 2 quick quotes vellum sheets,  & 7 Gypsies decorative tape.

In order to win this assortment of Scrapbooking Supplies you need to submit a photo of a two page 12x12 layout.  It can be old or new.  You can use it for other challenges as well.  All that I ask is that it is a "traditional" scrapbook layout.  No Kits, No Digital Images, No sketches/page maps.  I want to bring us back to where scrapbooking started.  We used paper, layers, textures, household items, recycled items, and our imagination.

I have a team of bloggers that will look at each layout and we will vote on a winning layout.  There will not be a random drawing.  No we are not expert judges, nor do we think we are better than anyone.. we just want to see some old school scrapbooking layouts.

I will host a challenge every 2 weeks & I will sponsor myself with my own supply of prizes.  If someone wants to sponsor a week just send me an email, you can also be a judge that week as well.  The winner from the last challenge can also help judge the following challenge.    I hope to get people back into scrapbooking the 2 page layouts where we designed our own layouts, no books or magazines were needed, we just did what ever we wanted.  We didn't need to use the hottest products, big name manufactures or most expensive items, we just had fun~  Don't get me wrong I love products~ I love 1 page layouts and I love how huge scrapbooking is but I also love the "old school way".  Thanks for joining me for my first Scrap It Girl Saturday Challenge.

  1. Just found this blog from someone else's link! I really like the purpose of your blog and challenge. I do feel like I can't scrap because they don't turn out like everyone else's. I personally love pages FILLED with pictures. I know a lot of people just put one picture with a ton of decorations and embellishments, and I like simple with captions. I'll definitely join in for future challenges!

  2. This is a fun challenge--back to the basics. I uploaded a two page layout that I did for a May 2011 LOAD (Layout A Day) project. I hope you all like it. My journaling is in the little pocket at the top.
